These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the carlocksmithjacksonville.com website and the car locksmith services provided by Car Locksmith Jacksonville (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By using our website or requesting our services, you agree to these Terms.
Services Provided
We provide mobile automotive locksmith services in the Jacksonville, Florida metropolitan area including Duval County, northern Clay County, and portions of St. Johns County. Our services include but are not limited to car lockout assistance, car key replacement, key programming, key duplication, ignition repair, broken key extraction, rekeying, and key fob services.
All services are performed at the customer’s vehicle location by trained automotive locksmith technicians.
Pricing and Payment
All prices are quoted on the phone before we dispatch a technician to your location. The quoted price includes travel, labor, and service unless otherwise stated. Key blanks and fob hardware are quoted separately when applicable.
The price quoted on the phone is the price you pay. No additional charges will be added upon arrival unless the scope of work differs from what was described during the phone consultation. If the actual job requires different work than what was quoted, we will explain the revised pricing and obtain your approval before proceeding.
We accept cash and all major credit cards. Payment is due upon completion of service.
Ownership Verification
Before performing any key replacement, key duplication, key programming, or rekeying service, we verify vehicle ownership. You must present a valid government issued photo identification (driver’s license, state ID, military ID, or passport) and your vehicle registration or proof of insurance showing the vehicle’s VIN.
If the name on your ID does not match the vehicle registration, additional verification may be required, such as an insurance card or authorization letter from the registered owner. We reserve the right to decline service if ownership cannot be satisfactorily verified.
This policy exists to protect you and to prevent unauthorized key creation for vehicles you do not own.
Service Warranty
We provide a warranty on all keys cut and programmed by our technicians. If a key we programmed stops working within 90 days due to a defect in our workmanship or the key blank, we will reprogram or replace it at no additional charge.
This warranty does not cover keys damaged by water, physical impact, extreme heat exposure, or normal battery depletion. It does not cover keys that stop working due to vehicle computer malfunctions, aftermarket alarm system interference, or modifications made by third parties after our service.
Lockout services (vehicle entry) are not warrantied as they are completed at the time of service.
Limitation of Liability
We use professional, non destructive entry tools and techniques on all vehicles. However, automotive locksmith work involves physical interaction with your vehicle’s locks, ignition, and electronic systems.
We are not liable for pre existing damage to your vehicle, including worn locks, corroded ignition cylinders, or pre existing electrical issues that become apparent during service.
Our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
We carry general liability insurance. Proof of insurance is available upon request.
Customer Responsibilities
By requesting our services, you agree to the following:
You are the legal owner of the vehicle or have written authorization from the owner to request locksmith services. The information you provide about your vehicle (year, make, model, location) is accurate to the best of your knowledge. You will present valid identification and vehicle registration when requested. You will provide safe access to your vehicle, including a reasonably safe location for the technician to work.
Cancellation Policy
You may cancel a service request at any time before the technician begins work on your vehicle at no charge.
If a technician has already been dispatched and is en route to your location, a trip charge may apply. Any applicable trip charge will be communicated to you before dispatch.
Once work has begun on your vehicle, full payment is due for the completed service.
